30 years of monitoring seabirds and migratory birds at La Punta de Cap de Creus (conference in catalan)

La Punta de Cap de Creus, the Iberian Peninsula most eastern tip, is a privileged place to monitor bird migration and at the same time to observe seabirds in general.

In the 1978, 1989 and 1990 years, three weekly spring control campaigns were carried out, but since 1993 censuses were carried out more systematically.

Over the course of these 30 years, thousands of data have been obtained about the main species observed, their trends or the winds impact such as the severe Tramuntana, in both seabirds and shearwaters, skuas, auks and waders, or birds of prey, herons and migratory passerines

Ponç Feliu, ornithologist linked to different entities and natural spaces in Girona and Emporda, and currently Director of the Cap de Creus Natural Park since 2020, will come to talk about the latest information collected and studied on seabirds and migratory birds at La Punta del Cap de Creus, on the Alt Empordà coast.
