The Delta’s noble pen shells – AFTERNOON

Have you heard of noble pen shells? They are the largest mollusk in the Mediterranean and the second largest on the planet, and can exceed a meter in length. It is an emblematic species as it can only be found in the Mediterranean. However, its drastic reduction due to a parasite has led scientists to declare it in danger of extinction.

On this outing we will visit the Trabucador area accompanied by guides from the Barcelona Zoo to find out about the problem of the mother-of-pearl in the Delta, and we will do it on a paddle board and with snorkel goggles! An experience not to be missed!
