And this is the reason that edition after edition, the organization of the festival aims to offer quality activities with expert guides so that all birders, from the most knowledgeable to beginners, can enjoy.

In this year’s edition, tickets sold out quickly days before the festival began. With the full capacity, the public was able to enjoy a wide variety of activities. Among the most outstanding are the boat trips which allow observing bird species that are very difficult to spot from the coast, the visit to Vilacoto or the Delta Hot Spots.

This year, on the boat trip on Sunday which was guided by Ricard Gutiérrez and Oriol Clarabuch, despite the rough seas, more than 50 Storm Petrels were observed, together with Black-backed, Yellow-legged, Audouin’s, Black-headed and Mediterranean Gulls, Balearic and Mediterranean Shearwater as well as some European Shags and migratory birds such European Honey Buzzards.

On the other hand, the trip to Vilacoto again confirmed its success with more than 60 species of birds observed, such as Osprey, Marsh Harrier, Reed Warbler, Lapwing, and a long etc. In addition, the attendees were rewarded with the observation of two rarities, such as Black Stork and Pectoral Sandpiper.

The Delta Hot Spots in the area of les Olles and el Goleró also rise the level. There was no shortage of waders, Ospreys, Coots, Flamingos, and a long etc. All of them accompanied by a spectacular end to the festival: a sunset in the delta with thousands of Glossy Ibises in full flight.

And this has only been a small taste of some #dbf21 activities. If you’ve been wanting more, don’t miss the next edition in 2022. We look forward to seeing you there!

Our guided outings are one of the most successful activities of the festival.
