For the past four years, he has devoted an increasing amount of his summer holidays to helping with seabird counts at the Estaca de Bares cape.<\/p>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-42702\" src=\"https:\/\/deltabirdingfestival.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/pedro-sandoval-1.webp\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" \/>\n<p>Located at the northernmost tip of the Iberian Peninsula, Estaca de Bares cape is widely regarded as one of the best places in Europe for observing seabirds. Pedro spends every summer there and has recently been collaborating with the team carrying out the seabird counts from the observatory.<\/p>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-42708\" src=\"https:\/\/deltabirdingfestival.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/pedro-sandoval.webp\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" \/>\n<p>This opportunity, together with the daily presence of the monitoring team, has inspired him to develop several of his own projects.
