Javier Marquerie is the founder and coordinator of www.elvuelodelgrajo.com, a digital magazine for wildlife watchers. Through this platform, he has found the perfect way to combine his passion for nature observation and conservation with the audiovisual world, in which he trained professionally.

In this session, he will present and screen the documentary Pasión por el territorio 2, produced by La Tarea Gestión for El Vuelo del Grajo and directed by Javier himself. Following the first instalment, featuring Antonio Sandoval and Alfonso Rodrigo, this second chapter in El Vuelo del Grajo’s Local Patchers series takes us to the two great wetlands of Spain’s Mediterranean coast.

Over the course of this 30-minute documentary, viewers will discover the deep connection that both Yanina Maggiotto and Marcel Gil have with their respective birding areas. It is a portrait of these passionate birdwatchers, exploring Yanina’s relationship with the Albufera of Valencia and Marcel’s with the Ebro Delta, and showing how birdwatching shapes their everyday lives. More than a hobby or a profession, birds are an essential part of who they are.
