Torre dels Budells habitat restoration (Montllober-Massalcoreig)

CONSERVATION PROJECT 2025:

Torre dels Budells habitat restoration (Montllober-Massalcoreig)

This 11th edition of the Delta Birding Festival will allocate the proceeds from ticket sales to the habitat restoration of the recently adquired estate of Photo Logistics, which is located in an arid area characteristic of western Catalonia that has undergone severe degradation of natural habitats due to the pressure of intensive agriculture and other human activities. With the main objective of dedicating the land entirely to conservation - with species of interest such as the black wheater, the great grey shrike, the stock dove, the Eurasian eagle-lowl, the little owl, the European bee-eater, the hoopoe, the ocellated lizard and the Montpellier snake -, the project is founded on a commitment to active ecological restoration and the involvement of the local social fabric. It is considered a demonstrative initiative that could be replicated in other areas of the Lleida plain.
