Pau Castell Cardona is a young bird enthusiast who, despite being only 15 years old, has already spent 3 years tracking birds of prey. Along the way, he has discovered other species, both through hide photography and in the open air. For the past year and a half, thanks to people like Josep Manchado, Toni Soler, and Maties Rebassa (among others), he has delved into the world of ornithology and the search for rarities.
During his talk, he will compare the situation of mountain birds in Mallorca 15 years ago with the current state, in order to understand what has changed and whether something can be done to improve the situation. He will also use the conference to share his experiences bivouacking, birdwatching, and to highlight how important it is for young ornithologists to feel empowered and not be ashamed to share their love for birds and spread awareness of this passion.
