The roundtable will explore the relationship between journalism and environmental issues, analyzing how the media play a crucial role in dissemination, raising awareness, and reporting on nature-related challenges.
Joining us will be Ricard Casanovas, biologist and veterinarian, head of the Wildlife and Flora Service of the Generalitat de Catalunya, who will act as moderator.

Also participating is Ricard Gutiérrez, a biologist specialized in zoology with a postgraduate degree in environmental economics and management. He works in wildlife conservation at the Generalitat and has been involved for more than 17 years in rarities committees and their study. In addition, he is the author of several scientific articles and books on nature.

We will also have Jacinto Antón, who holds degrees in Journalism and Acting. He is a Culture editor at El País, a contributor to Cadena Ser, and recipient of the National Prize for Cultural Journalism.

Evelyn Segura, a biologist by vocation and science communicator by nature, will also join the discussion. She has worked as a biologist for various NGOs and organizations coordinating conservation projects, and for over ten years she has been hosting television programs and radio segments.

Finally, Xavier Riera, head of the outreach and training department at the ICO (Institut Català d’Ornitologia), will take part as well. He manages a wide range of projects carried out in collaboration with both private and public organizations, and oversees citizen science initiatives.
