Becs i plomes 2: d’Andorra a la Mar Mediterrània

In 2024, the audiovisual series “Becs i plomes: un cop d’ull als ocells d’Andorra” was released, created by the Andorran biologist Jordi Nicolau (BIOCOM), with the collaboration of the Government of Andorra and the support of Andorra Research+Innovation. This series, consisting of 7 episodes, featured images of 134 bird species.

At the 2025 edition of the Delta Birding Festival, the second part of this project will be presented, entitled “Becs i plomes 2: d’Andorra a la mar Mediterrània” Once again, it is a 7-episode audiovisual series, which in this case showcases the birds found mainly along the valleys of the Segre and Ebro rivers, between Andorra and the Mediterranean Sea. Filming took place between December 2023 and July 2025, and includes footage of a total of 167 bird species.

“Becs i plomes 2” is a non-profit project supported by Andorra Research+Innovation and the Catalunya-La Pedrera Foundation. The series was created by Jordi Nicolau (BIOCOM) with the collaboration of Jordi Dalmau (AUBÈRRIA) and Quim Minoves. All episodes will be available on YouTube starting September 22, 2025.

Jordi Nicolau Vila graduated in Biology from the Faculty of Biology of the University of Barcelona in 1999, specializing in Organisms and Systems. He currently works as a technician at the Andorran company BIOCOM (Biology and Communication SL), where he mainly develops research and conservation projects in the field of ornithology and natural area management. He has published several articles and books on natural heritage and protected areas, both nationally and internationally.
