Catalan Institute of Ornithology (ICO). A look at the 50 years of its history

Enric Carrera holds a PhD in textile engineering, has been a bird ringer since 1975, and is a founding member and the first president of the ICO.

Jordi Baucells is a biologist, agricultural technical engineer, and has been a bird ringer since the mid-1980s. He is currently the president of the ICO (Catalan Institute of Ornithology).

To mark the 50th anniversary of the ICO, the two renowned ornithologists will review the scientific, social, and outreach trajectory of the organization. A look at the past, present, and future of the projects of the Catalan Institute of Ornithology, 1975–2025.
