As an introduction to this talk, the field guide for the identification of Iberian diurnal birds of prey by Àlex Ollé and Joan Goy will be presented: it is a complete field guide written in spanish with more than 450 photographs that allow the identification, sexing and dating of the 30 species of diurnal birds of prey with a regular presence in the Iberian Peninsula and the Balearic Islands, in addition to another 21 taxa of occasional or accidental appearance.
Later we will proceed to create a debate on photography and identification, with the collaboration of the photographer Rafa Armada, who has also recently published a book: Porfolio 1 – Photographs and stories of extraordinary birds.
