Exhibition – II SEABIRD IL·LUSTRA Competition

The second edition of Seabird Il·lustra has recently taken place, and the selected artworks will be showcased to the public during the eleventh edition of the Delta Birding Festival.

This is the marine bird illustration contest organized by the Seabird Ecology Lab of the University of Barcelona and the Biodiversity Research Institute. The artworks depict seabirds within the context of conservation biology, highlighting the threats they face and their behavior within their natural habitat.

A total of 28 participants from different regions of Spain have taken part, distributed across four categories. This edition has been made possible through the AMPLIAMAR project, thanks to the Pleamar program of the Fundación Biodiversidad, and co-funded by the European Union’s EMFAF.

The award ceremony for the contest winners will take place on Saturday, September 20, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on the first floor of the Viewpoint Building, where the exhibition will remain on display throughout the three days of the festival.
