L’Ovella Verda: Podcast and divulgation from the beginning (conference in catalan)

The expression “black sheep” refers to that different person within the family and often considered a rebel because he or she does not follow the family customs. That’s where the idea of the “green sheep” or “Ovella Verda” came from, also representing, within the family, that person most sensitized by the environment.

This is how it was born the podcast created by Andrea Camacho and Marta Josa, two young environmentalists with a desire to share curiosities related to the fauna and flora of their closest environment, but above all, to treat the current climate situation with a critical but also positive point of view.

La Ovella Verda started in the 2020 Summer with the intention to talk about biodiversity and sustainability in Catalan, creating a podcast that has led them to record more than 30 episodes, win publicity awards and reach a large audience.

This September, Marta and Andrea will explain to us how this adventure began and what challenges have encountered along the way when creating content in podcast and video format shared on social networks.

Marta and Andrea will tell us about the benefits they have obtained and also about the technical problems they have experienced, among other misadventures. A guide on everything you have to do and not to do when you plan to create a scientific divulgation project!
