This event will combine the presentation of a conservation programme for the Bonelli’s Eagle with the launch of “L’Àliga” wine, which will donate part of its profits to support the project.
Dr Gerard Rocamora, an ecologist, ornithologist and owner of vineyards in the Priorat region, will give a brief introduction to the event. Professor Joan Real, from the University of Barcelona, will explain the current status of the species in Catalonia and the main threats it faces. Joan-Carles Abella, from the Som Aguait association, will present the eagle conservation project, while Miquel Torres, from Familia Torres, will share further examples of how the wine and viticulture sector can contribute to the conservation of birds and nature. Jordi Vidal, winegrower and co-founder of La Conreria winery, will explain the characteristics of the Cal Sambori vineyards (owned by the Rocamora family) and the production of “L’Àliga” wine. The event will conclude with closing remarks by Jordi Sargatal, Secretary for Ecological Transition of the Government of Catalonia.

Following a question-and-answer session, there will be a wine tasting, and those who wish to support the eagle conservation project will be able to purchase a bottle of the wine. You will find their stand in Zone B of the exhibitors’ area.
