Descubriendo la Naturaleza Cantábrica a través de mi cámara

Maxi Díez is the youngest naturalist in this year’s edition. At just 11 years old, he is from Luanco, Asturias, and is already an accomplished nature photographer. He began exploring wildlife from a very young age alongside his father, near the coast around Cape Peñas.

During his talk at DBF Júnior, he will take us on a journey through the Cantabrian Mountains, a magical place full of wildlife. He will explain how the idea of filming a nature documentary came about and will share a selection of short videos he recorded while observing bears, wolves and wildcats. Through this visual report, featuring images that are especially meaningful to him, he will explain how these animals behave, how they camouflage themselves and what they can teach us about life in the wild.

He will also share practical tips on how to track them, observe them from a respectful distance, and take the first steps into the world of wildlife photography and filmmaking.
