Who wants to be GuardaDeltas?
Francesco Rovedo is an environmental scientist and Laura Núñez is a biologist. Both work as wildlife tracking guides in the Arctic and share a passion for wildlife photography, responsible nature travel—such as the Arctic Ecosystem Ecology and Conservation course they run each year in Svalbard in collaboration with the Biomas Association—and science communication. These shared interests led them to create Wild Podcast El Guardabosques in 2022, an outreach programme dedicated to education and conservation, full of fascinating stories and insights about the natural world.

In El Guardabosques, they reveal the secrets of wildlife they have discovered during more than six years of guiding wildlife tours across Europe. Drawing on their field experience, anecdotes and scientific research, they explore a wide range of biological topics. With the aim of connecting people with nature, promoting respect for wildlife and making scientific knowledge accessible to everyone, they return to the Delta Birding Festival for the second consecutive year to record a very special live episode: the second edition of the Delta Trivia Challenge.
What can you expect? The audience will be divided into two teams and compete to win the coveted title of Guardian of the Delta. Through multiple-choice questions in five categories—Sounds, Curiosities, History, Identification and True or False—participants will test their knowledge of the wildlife of the Ebro Delta, while Francesco and Laura enrich each answer with additional facts and fascinating insights. If you enjoy learning while having fun and would like the chance to win a few prizes, don’t miss the Delta Trivia Challenge!
