Acción Océanos is an organisation founded and run by women, whose mission is to conserve and protect our oceans through social actions based on scientific evidence. Its current campaigns range from the fight to ban the intensive breeding of octopuses in marine farms, through an acoustic project to better understand deep-sea cetacean species, such as the sperm whale, in the Mediterranean, to an educational and research campaign for the ban on the sale of shark meat in Spain.
