The PIO project (Points of Ornithological Interest) aims to identify, signpost, describe and promote places where you can enjoy bird watching.

In a balanced way throughout the province of Ávila, up to 50 PIOs are being signaled, which will also serve to promote the territory. For each of the PIOs there is a description of the ecosystems present in the area, access to the nearest Ebird list, 25 significant species files and a list of tourist resources in the area. All this is available at www.pioavila.com.

The last phase of the project, to be carried out next year, focuses on the development of an information and training campaign in the territory, both for the general public and for companies and institutions.

Pipe (organizer of the OrnitoCyL festival), Nacho (naturalist artist) and Naia (Om-Systems ambassador photographer) will present the PIO ÁVILA project from different points of view.
