Dani López – Audiovisual Language as a Means of Conservation

Dani López is a wildlife photographer and videographer, Fujifilm collaborator, and founder of Mandeo Records. In recent years, he has worked as a filmmaker, producing and directing various projects in China, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Germany, the UK, Portugal, Costa Rica, Mexico, Switzerland, Poland, Tibet, and more. Currently, he focuses his nature audiovisual production on creating content for his YouTube channel, where he showcases the local wildlife around us through the educational documentary series “La Vida en el Bosque” (Life in the Forest).

Dani discovered that storytelling was the way he could give free rein to a whole world of emotions and concerns that he had always carried within him and that were constantly in motion… and the audiovisual field was the perfect medium for it. During this talk, he will show us how to approach a project from the initial idea to its publication, and highlight the importance of sound as a narrative language.

Embark on this journey through images and discover how, by using audiovisual storytelling in a simple and natural way and applying different techniques throughout documentary production, it is possible to make the viewer feel exactly what the filmmaker feels in the moment of filming.
