The province of Ávila holds a surprisingly rich yet little-known ornithological heritage. This region features a remarkable variety of ecosystems, from the high peaks of Gredos to the cereal plains, including all kinds of forest formations, wetlands, lush riverside woods, and mid-mountain areas… all providing shelter to numerous wildlife species.
Recently, institutional efforts have focused on promoting this natural wealth in more detail and strengthening it through various projects, which is expanding the areas of interest for birdwatchers. Today, almost every corner of the province offers the opportunity for a fruitful day of birdwatching.
In this roundtable, Pipe Nebreda and Nacho Sevilla will introduce these ecosystems and their species, revealing the incredible biodiversity that inhabits these lands.
