Urban parks and gardens can become true oases for birds, especially during peak migration season. In this activity, we will visit a park in the Eucaliptus neighborhood to observe and identify the species that stop by—a great opportunity to discover the variety of birds you can see in an urban green space.
The activity will also introduce the Birds of Gardens project by the Catalan Ornithological Institute (ICO), a citizen science initiative that tracks common birds in gardens and parks across the country. We will explain how the project works, what information it collects, and how anyone can participate, helping contribute to the knowledge and conservation of birds. Whether you’re interested in citizen science or just want to enjoy a good day of birdwatching, this activity is for you.
