Alimoches al habla is a podcast about the countryside, rivers, birds, people, and their stories. Following the biodiversity calendar, each month we explore an overlooked species and the issues surrounding it. Along the way, we discover the interdisciplinary work of fascinating people, with art and environmental psychology as our guides.
In Alimoches al habla, Lourdes Berzas (Loubé) interviews people connected to the countryside, birds, and the many social and cultural dimensions that surround them.
Lourdes is an environmental psychologist, scientific illustrator, and mural artist. She combines these disciplines to bring biodiversity closer to society through workshops, outreach activities, and her Murales Entornados (Participatory Environmental Murals), a collaborative project in which local communities choose the featured species and work together to create a large mural that helps reconnect people with nature and their surroundings.
This will be the first time the podcast leaves the studio to be recorded live. In this episode, it will explore how to promote ethical and sustainable nature tourism from both ecological and social perspectives. To do so, it will focus on two initiatives with different approaches: the PIO Ávila project and the l’Urpa Association.
In between, short reflections on environmental psychology will invite the audience to think about habitats, overlooked species, and the way we relate to nature.
