Katarina Kostić is a consultant in regenerative agriculture and biodiversity, with over 20 years of experience in restoring agricultural and urban ecosystems. She collaborates with Granja San Francisco, EIT Food, and the European Commission on projects focused on the most effective strategies to mitigate climate change and conserve biodiversity.
In this talk, we will explore how regenerative agriculture can be a key ally for biodiversity. Katarina will share concrete experiences from projects she leads with Granja San Francisco, such as Barcelona Viva and Fincas Regenerativas, pioneering initiatives that integrate agriculture, beekeeping, and biodiversity conservation in both rural and urban environments. Through biodiverse field margins, nest installation, and habitat restoration, she will demonstrate that it is possible to produce healthy food while restoring ecological balance.
The conference will combine science with real-life case studies and is aimed at people of all ages interested in becoming citizen scientists and protecting our birds and ecosystems—whether from the countryside, the home, the office, the school, or anywhere else.
