Nature is the vaccine

Now that we are all still suffering the devastating effects of a pandemic that has meant paying a very high toll in terms of the number of lives that has been taken, but also the millions of euros that are being spending to fight it. Can we do something so that this does not happen again? Can we prevent another pandemic coming after this one? Will infections be the scourge of future generations?

We’ll wonder about that with Fernando Valladares, a researcher at the Spanish Council for Scientific Research (CSIC) and associate professor at the Rey Juan Carlos University (Madrid), specialized in evaluating the effects of climate change, but he is also an excellent communicator as you will see if you take a look at his social media

In his conference, he will highlight the importance of biodiversity in its role as a firewall between contagions or lowering the viral load, which would make it less likely that pathogens would jump to the human species. Ultimately, as he says, the most effective vaccine is to have a functional nature.

Don’t miss this talk because it will be revealing for sure!
