Return of the Sylvia project to the Alfacada
SYLVIA is a project of the Catalan Institute of Ornithology that aims to establish a network of ringing stations with a constant effort to obtain long-term information on the demographic parameters and population trends of Catalan terrestrial bird populations. A Sylvia was made in Alfacada some time ago, which was interrupted due to lack of funding. Thanks to the contribution of the Festival, it was possible to re-establish the ringing activities in this place of great biological interest.
